Flawed ATM Security + Hackers + BlackHat Hacker Conference = Financial District Upset?

Wow I wonder WHY? ;o)

There’s this guy and his name is Barnaby Jack., Apparently he is a security researcher at the computer networking giant Juniper.  During a BlackHat Hacker Conference in Las Vegas that is supposed to be scheduled sometime later this month, he planned to demonstrate some vulnerabilities of ATM machine security.  Um, what did you just say?  SECURITY VULNERABILITIES OF ATM MACHINES!!!  NO WAY!

Yes way! And when the word was sent out, he received so much pressure from the powers that be, he was forced to cancel the demonstration for fear of retribution.   I guess this security flaw has the potential to wreak havoc  on security personnel, banks, and the general public.  (HAH) This is yet another subtle reminder that NOTHING is as secure as we are all lead to believe.

Go check out the rest of the story here.

Welcome to my Hacker repository.  I will be loading it up with as much information about the computer underground, hackers, computer security and anything related to these subjects as possible. You will find news headlines, videos, audio files, images, articles, manuals, snipits, exploits, links, lists, tricks, tips, scripts, how-tos, tutorials, and maybe even some good ole debauchery. Welcome to the living document I like to call the Hackronomicon (otherwise known as The Ugly Red Book That Wont Fit On A Shelf).
