Masters of Deception
MOD were a group of hackers based in the New York area. There were three founding memebers Acid Phreak (Eli Ladopoulos), Scorpion (Paul Stira), and HAC. Other orginal members where Phiber Optik (Mark Abene), Corrupt (John Lee a.k.a Netw1z), and Outlaw (Julio Fernandez).
Additional members of MOD include: Supernigger (also of DPAK), Wing, Nynex Phreak, Billy_The_Kid, Crazy Eddie, The Plague, ZOD, Neutrino, Seeker (CKER), Red Knight (who was also a member of Cult of the Dead Cow), and Lord Micro.
MOD’s early membership grew from meetings on Loop-Around Test Lines. Loop lines were telephone company test circuits. This fact ultimately led to a collaboration to hack RBOC phone switches and anything attached to them.
